About me

A commercially-minded and creative designer with over ten years experience, I started out working with web and interactive design, progressing into print, digital, advertising and art direction.

So far in my career I've worked on a variety of brands, collaborating with creative directors, copywriters, developers and photographers. I'm a strong believer in 'the idea' and concept leading the design, not the other way round.

I have also worked as a composer for varied clients including ITV, Universal Music, EMI and SONY, with an original composition included in The Sunday Times Songs of the Year in 2007. 

I think design can be beautiful, functional and fun, and I try to keep those three things running throughout everything I do.

I'm particularly interested in art direction, animation and creating new stories for brands. I love music and sound and trying to link it to design in a meaningful way. And I know the importance of great layout, thoughtful type and beautiful colour. 

I also buy way too many shoes for a grown man and am addicted to Thai curry. I'm also 60% grey.
